Playa del Ingles translates as ‘The Englishman’s beach’ and this is a pretty accurate description of the resort, or maybe, ‘The English Lad’s beach’  would be more appropriate! Playa del Ingles was purpose built as a party resort in the 60s, and since then has developed its reputation as one of the maddest party towns in the world. Thousands of European lads and ladies head for the resort throughout the summer season where the Saharans sized beach is the place to be by day, and the town has more than enough to offer at night.

As it’s purpose built, everything in Playa del Ingles is pretty easy to find, you’re never too far from town, the beach, or your apartment, and it’s pretty much impossible to get lost (although one of your mates will probably manage it!). For an ‘exactly what it says on the tin’ lad’s holiday, you’d be hard pushed to beat Playa del Ingles.
